Girl's Beach Trip Recap

View from our condo

I'm about a week late getting this posted, but I've been a bit busy with my "real life" and blogging had to take a bit of a back seat.

Last weekend I went on my annual girl's trip to Sandestin.  I'm very blessed that my parents have a condo there and are sweet enough to allow me and my friends to use it each year.  This was our 5th year and only 2 of us could make it, but it was definitely some much needed relaxation for 4 days.  We weren't sure we were going to make it the day we were leaving due to some flooding in the area, but once they started opening roads we made the decision to head that way.

All smiles thanks to the sun peaking out on day 3 for an hour

Due to the weather we had limited beach time, so eating and drinking took up much of our time.  This recap is pretty much about the yummy food we had!!

Marina Bar & Grill
If you are in Sandestin on the weekend, they open at 8am for breakfast.  I highly recommend it.  Check out the view and cute parrot!!  Also a great place for casual lunch or happy hour during the week:

Marlin Grill:
This was my first time trying this restaurant.  It's located at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.  We had an early dinner our first night since we were itching to get out and about.  We had a fabulous table by the window to do some people watching while we ate.  Food was fab.  I had the tuna and my friend had shrimp and grits.  We also had to save room for dessert...  Oreo cheesecake anyone??

Elephant Walk:
We hit them up for a late happy hour after our early dinner.  They have double pours for the price of one until 7pm.  Check out my wine pour below.  And it's just a walk down the sidewalk from the condo so it makes it perfect for us.

Bud & Alleys:
This is always a must when we have our girl's trips.  It's a bit of a drive for us, but never disappoints.  Highly recommend reservations and also getting there about 30 min. early to go up to and have a martini.  They are the best.  Also a great place to watch the sunset.

Right after the sunset at Bud & Alley's

Our final night there we saw a wedding set up at the Hilton next door.  During the reception they had fireworks on the beach.  It was a nice treat to end our trip.

If you've never been to Sandestin, it really is a must visit.  It's perfect for families or just a quick girls trip like mine.  So much to do in the areas nearby and the actual resort itself.  Seriously you never have to leave.  I'm there often in the summer, so I'll be recapping more trips with other fun places to eat and things to do very soon.

Until next time Sandestin (or well, this weekend)... XOXO
